Keyboard shortcuts...

Using Mageia v3 with LXDE Desktop.

Have searched to find the app in which I can set keyboard shortcuts for common applications, without success.

Will some kind members point me in the right direction, please?

Note: this is the first rpm distro I've used. All others have been based on Debian.

Unfortunately for LXDE there's no dedicated keyboard shortcut application.
You could try part of the gnome-control-center, or edit the configuration file manually via text editor ...

For what it's worth, after Mageia 3 release our LXDE maintainer got aware of the fact that LXDE is only in maintenance mode
at upstream, and will not be developed anymore, sadly. So in thee long term, you're maybe better of choosing an other
lightweight desktop. like razor-qt or enlightenment e17 or MATE or so.

Thank you for your reply. In the interim I have selected KDE, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, search as I might, I can find no easy way to configure keyboard shortcuts. Any assistance would be helpful.

For what it's worth, my other computer runs SolusOS, based on Debian Stable, with the Gnome 2 DE. It is simplicity itself to configure keyboard shortcuts.

Searching on "configure keyboard shortcuts KDE" brings up : --

http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kde-runtime/fundamentals/shortcuts.html

Maybe you'll find what you need there.

That is only for per-application shortcuts. For global shortcuts, check systemsettings -> Shortcuts and gestures

There is also SystemSettings-->Input Devices-->You can figure it from there.
