Hello all, i have a problem with my terminal. the error is like this :
bash-4.2$ su
Password:
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = "en_US.UTF-8:en_US:en",
LC_ALL = (unset),
LC_PAPER = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LC_ADDRESS = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LC_MONETARY = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LC_SOURCED = "1",
LC_NUMERIC = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LC_TELEPHONE = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LC_MESSAGES = "en_US.UTF-8",
LC_COLLATE = "en_US.UTF-8",
LC_IDENTIFICATION = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LC_MEASUREMENT = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LC_CTYPE = "en_US.UTF-8",
LC_TIME = "en_US.UTF-8",
LC_NAME = "id_ID.UTF-8",
LANG = "en_US.UTF-8"
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

I remember when i installing my mageia 3 rc with kde desktop dvd. there's a step where we have to choose to keep unused localization or not (i choose the default locale en_US). on that step i choose to remove all other localization. i think that step make me get this error. my question is, how to install the localization again? I have search with keyword 'mageia 3 language pack, mageia 3 localization, etc.' but i don't get good result. I hope here i can get the answer. Thank in advanced :D

Hi elangbieroe and welcome.

You should install locales-id. Probably you have set time zone in Indonezia.

You should also be careful to not remove "orphan" packages if you're not sure. You can search here for more info.

HTH,
Filip.

here's my two cents:

1) call 'localedrake' (works from a terminal)

2) choose 'english' (just english - no particular variation)

3) click 'advanced'

4) mark/check 'old compatibility'

5) ok , ok , and ok

6) logout and log back in again

HTH
