[SOLVED] LibreOfficeCalc - Enabling Macros

Postby goprisko » Apr 29th, '13, 16:01

Back in the dark ages, I learned how to enable macros in Calc.

Seems you have to change a parameter in some table.

Now, at 66, my mind is fuzzy.

Please revert with directions on how to enable Macros in Calc.

Yea, I know... some evil geek on the net will use this entry to play havoc... But, my spreadsheets for modeling renewable power plants, use
macros extensively, and I don't need Calc deleting them at all.

You don't need to enable them. Open a new document, and in the menu check Extras -> Macros -> Run Macro

No, you have to go into preferences, and verify they are enabled, and if not, enable them.

Apparently, LO 4 now ships with macros enabled.

Where exactly? I've got the default Mageia libreoffice, macros are enabled.
You may need to adjust the security setting via Extras -> Options -> Libreoffice -> Security -> Macro security. But macros are enabled.

Anyways, as you seem to have solved your problem, please mark the thread accordingly by editing the topic of the first post and prefix it by [SOLVED], thanks
