Missing atidriver and rltk driver

Upon installing the 64-bit version of Mageia, it told me that I was missing two distinct drivers -- one was for my wifi connection (I think) and one was for video (which was atidriver). It seems as though I'll have to add these from safe mode (if possible) as no GUI loads upon booting.

Any ideas on what commands I should use to get these missing drivers? The atidriver is most important, I think, but the rltk (which I'm not sure I'm even spelling correctly) one is also important. If you need more information just let me know!

The missing file was actually named "radeon-hardware" and the GUI would not load without it. I'm missing goodies from the nonfree repo perhaps as it says. I'm attempting to reinstall and mess with the settings.

The package you're missing is actually named "radeon-firmware" and it's not on the DVD so reinstalling won't help.

If you're booting to a console login as root and run
Code: Select all
drakx11
Choose xorg|vesa as the driver and reboot, you should now boot to a GUI interface.

From there you can use MCC "Mageia Control Centre" to setup online sources, enable Nonfree release and update sources, then set your display to use the propitiatory driver from Nonfree.
