Hi all,
i using Mageia 2 with xfce4 and oxygen-gtk. Under kde4 (systemsettings) i used oxygen theme, but when i try to use kwrite, kate or other kde4 apps, i have some appearance problem (see attached image) background of textbox are gray and not white

Qt applications work fine (the only problem is set icon theme). I have this problem only on one pc, i have notebook without problem but same environment.

Same Kde4 applications in Kde4 work fine

Same Kde4 applications in Lxde have same problems

Could you help me ?

thanks
Armando

My first question would be does it render ok with another theme. Have you tried another? (eg plain oxygen, qtcurve etc?)

I remember problems in the past with oxygen-gtk rendering, back in the Mandriva days actually. IIRC there was a problem with compositing (may have been related to video driver settings too, eg hardware acceleration) Are you running an older compositor like compiz? What display manager are you using?

seems that a
Code: Select all
urpmi --replacepkgs dconf

solved problem. It solved also another problem: gedit preferences don't saved.
