disk access needs password?

hi there i have my second HD listed in device notifier to mount upon login , but after i start computer , i still need to enter the root password to access this drive ??? why? shouldnt i be able to access this drive just like all the others

You may want to look at viewtopic.php?f=8&t=710

My solution:

Create the file 90-my-local-authentication.pkla in /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/

[Local Authentication]
Identity=unix-user:yourusername
Action=org.freedesktop.udisks.filesystem-mount-system-internal
ResultActive=yes

yourusername needs to be replaced by your actual user name
