lost manage software tab in control center

did some remove software earlier, and now there is no "manage software" tab in my control center. Perhaps I removed something I shouldn't have. That was silly of me.
What must I do to recover the tab?

you maybe removed rmpdrake. try

Thanks. It asked for the disk but returned an error. Clean install looks to be the option. But thanks....

No need to reinstall. That is Windows thinking.

These commands will sort you out

su -
urpmi.removemedia -a
urpmi.addmedia --distrib --mirrorlist
urpmi rpmdrake

That will remove the disc media, add in a set of online media and install the software install GUI
Once you have it back do not forget to enable the 'non-free' and 'tainted' software repositories which will be disabled by default.
