how to install software from tar.xz archive in mageia?

i just want to know simply how to add soft from xz tar archive file to mageia .
suppose i downloaded file from source unknown then;
it get downloaded to my

location: /home/xxxxx/Downloads
as mediaxxx.tar.xz

so how to install it using terminal n it has another location other than it so how can i install it in plz anyone explain simply ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

There are no common instructions for those. Normally such tarballs contain a README or INSTALL plaintext file
which describes how to install it, if any preqrequirements have to be met and what to pay attention to.
So best just extract that tarball and look whats inside
