Freecell

I reinstalled Mageia 2 recently. I use KDE. I installed gnome games to play freecell. Previously my freecell statistics were continuous regardless of how many times I had to reinstall gnome games or reopened freecell. Probably /home related. Now everytime I open freecell the statistics are back to zero. How can I save and accumulate the statistics when I close freecell?
Help appreciated. Gary

Not sure where that's stored, maybe under .gconf in your /home somewhere, but wherever the config files are one thing to check is to make sure they're writable to your user.

When I did this: [gary@localhost Desktop]$ sol --freecell
I got this: (sol:5843): GConf-WARNING **: Client failed to connect to the D-BUS daemon:
Unable to autolaunch when setuid
GConf Error: No D-BUS daemon running
I have no idea what it means and I don't know if this is my problem.

Did you do a fresh install, or did you keep your /home?
Does the problem also occur with a freshly created user?

I had to do a reinstall of Mageia2. I kept the same /home. I am also unable to reboot or shut down. I think I will wait for M3 and do a fresh install keeping /home. Hopefully that will cure it. Thanks, Gary

If you keep your /home, you will probably also keep most of the problems. Create a new user via drakuser and then migrate your settings over to that new one step-by step (folder by folder).

Will try it when I install M3. Thanks.
