Mageia 3 Beta 2 i586 DVD Fails To Boot

Hi Everyone.

I downloaded the iso for Mageia 3, beta 2 yesterday. Burned good. I tried booting off the DVD both live and install options. The DVD gets as far as listing "Started Authorisation Manager", and then hangs.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1200 with 1.2gig ram and a 30 gig HDD. Yesterday when trying I wasnt connected to the internet, and assumed this was the problem. So today Im now connected to a wired broadband, and the same thing happens.

have you tried to to run the live Mageia disc on another machine?
the disc that you burned may be corrupted so you will have to determine if the disc is at fault first. i have had the odd disc that "says" it burned ok but wont correctly install.

Hi benmc.

Yep tried it on three machines, 2 laptops and a desktop, and the same thing happens. Checked the checksum and its ok

Could you create a bug for this please https://bugs.mageia.org

Set the release as Cauldron and severity to release_blocker

You'll have to provide some hardware information there too and the full name of the ISO.
