Hello,

I updated my main PC from Mageia 1 64 to Mageia 2 64. I had problems with packages impossible to install due to missing dependencies or conflicts. Mageia 2 works anyway, but it is impossible to use Hugin (photos sticher in panorama). No error message in the gui, in command line, it says "memory fault"
Hugin works on my laptop with Mageia 3, and was working on this main PC with Mageia 1.

Hugin works OK for me.
I think your problem lies with those packages you could not upgrade. Try installing one package at a time, and for any package that refuses to install uninstall the blocking package while making a note of the applications that get uninstalled with them, and then reinstall those applications later.

Also check you have non-free and tainted repositories enabled. If you had packages from mga1 nonfree and tainted installed previously it could obstruct their upgrading if the repository is not available in mga2.

I did what you say and I have now only two packages I can't install, Kopete, I don't use and something connected to Latex I don't use either. With Hugin, I can install it, with no problems nor error message, but it don't works (memory fault).
Non-free and tainted repositories are enabled.

Does that mean Hugin isn't able to install its dependencies ? And why rpmdrake keeps telling me there is nothing to update (in the MCC and no red applet in the taskbar) ?
What is great is that now Hugin is running !

Well no, more that the upgrade to mga2 was't completed, some packages were still missing.
