Greetings, I am new to Mageia but been using Linux for a few years. But this is my first RPM DIstro. My question is Mageia wants to update RPM 5.3.12 and when I allow in I get this error "Sorry, the following package cannot be selected:
- rpm-5.3.12-0.20110712.2.2-mdv2011.0.x86_64 (due to unsatisfied db51_recover)"

I have used Debian excessively for years so I have no clue how to trouble shoot rpm errors

Your repositories are miss-configured, Your now using Mageia "mga" not Mandriva "mdv".
