[solved]Livestation working but no sound

Hi again!
I managed to get Livestation working;

unfortunately there is no sound. I checked the settings from Livestation in a different distro (Manjaro) and they are the same. I think I also have Livestation installed in a few other distros but I didn't check them.
So I know that the sound problem is not related to my hardware. I also know that I have sound working in Mageia ( I am presently listening to our local radio station). In a previous post we discovered that a few 'lib' files were missing preventing me to have Livestation working (even if it was installed) so I assume that there might be another 'lib' file missing but I wouldn't know where to start to find out which one it could be.
I thought I would try 'alsaconf' but it is not installed and when I try to install it I am asked for my Mageia DVD which I insert and it is not accepted.
Any suggestion for fixing Livestation?

Can't you connect it to internet and use the repositories online?

I am connected to the internet. I'll see if I can change the settings. Opening Mageia Control Center, then Software Management ->Install &Remove Software->Options and choosing Media Center gives me this;

but if I choose a package, let's say 'alsaconf' and clicking on apply I get the following;

Well well well! Yesterday, after, inserting the DVD I kept being told that it couldn't see it ( after trying several times with 2 different DVDs. Right now it just dewcided to play along. I don't know if clicking on File->Reload package list helped or not but I did manage to install 'alsaconf'. Let's see if it will fix the sound problem in Livestation. I'll be back in awhile.

I tried running 'alsaconf' but was told that:
no legacy drivers are available

so I did a search in MCC for 'legacy' and found that 'lib64opencv_legacy2' was installed but not 'sysvinit-legacy' so I installed it then ran 'alsaconf' again and I am still getting the same message.
Any suggestion anyone?

you should remove the 'enable' tick on the DVD item in the first screen,
so when you search for a package the system will go online

Then you should try to open MCC->hardware,
so mageia will try to install all the packages it retains useful for your hardware

Thank you tom!
I guess that in trying to have all the needed mirrors accessible I hadn't realized that I also had the DVD enabled.
And as far as Livestation is concerned I can always use another distro. I can just bookmark the stations I use the most often I suppose.
Thanks again!
