[Solved] Change the regional settings

Postby sekelsenmat » Nov 26th, '12, 17:20

Hello,

I installed Mageia 2 and made the error to select English (American) and I forgot to set my country to Poland. Basically I wanted to have my Mageia in english, but still Id like to have polish or otherwise at least latin format settings. Now it is driving me crazy that LibreOffice uses . as decimal separator and , as thousand separator =O

I tryed the Regional Settings and Drakconf locale setting, but nothing that I do seams to change anything in LibreOffice. Worse, in Drakconf when I try to change the country, there isnt even Poland in the list! There is Afganistan but no Poland ... I tryed using Belgium or Irelend but it didnt help.

So, is there any way to change system-wide my decimal separator de , and my thousand separator to space, and all other formatting settings?

thanks =)

Thanks, installing locales-pl adds the option for polish language. But I still cannot select English language + Poland country =/ I can select Poland as a country only if I select polish as a language first...

After I've added locales-pl I found Poland if I click 'Other Countries'

Regarding your LibreOffice issues, did you installed
Code: Select all
# urpmi libreoffice-langpack-pl
as well? Maybe this will change the LibeOffice settings to your local used formats?
