Mageia 2 on Macbook Pro

I just tried to install Mageia 2 on my brand new macbook pro (9,1, 15").
I am now past the installation, but am still facing the following problems:
- The laptop keyboard does not work
- neither does the trackpad
- My mac doesn't recognise my linux partition as bootable. installing rEFIt didn't do anything clever either. At the moment I boot using the installation cd and select to boot from the hard drive, which works fine.
Any suggestions on how I could solve these problems? the keyboard is really the most urgent as it is very annoying to have to use the on-screen keyboard all the time
