I just installed Mageia2-586 for a 'looksee' but need to write this from a suse partition. The Mageia installation went fine (the 2nd time around because the 1st one was numbering partitions 1 short) but I cannot boot it. This kind of kernel panic has also been seen with the suse system on this laptop now & then ..it may be a hardware related though there is no problem with the hardware. I installed to partition #13
