Hi,

I'm migrating from Mandriva 2010.0 Powerpack x86_64 to Mageia 2 x86_64

I'm happy with the basic services I'm running on Mandriva 2010.0 at Mageia 2.

However, there is some issue running samba.

I copy the smb.conf file from Mandriva 2010.0 to Mageia , it is bind with OpenLDAP. It is running well at Mandriva 2010.0 but not in Mageia2.

It keep show the error message : smbd[2987]: check_sam_security: make_server_info_sam() failed with 'NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL' when I access network sharred from Mageia.

Can somebody guide me to solve this ?

Thanks.

Hi Jiunnyik,

Welcome to the Mageia Forum! :D

Maybe you made some custom modification in smb.conf of Mandriva, which is being incompatible with Mageia. I compared the two files (etc/samba/smb.conf) in original format, and the only difference is in line 20:

smb.conf of Mandriva
line 20: workgroup = MDVGROUP

smb.conf of Mageia:
line 20: workgroup = MGAGROUP
