[SOLVED] Installing VMware Tools in Mageia

Hi, I'm testing Mageia 2 inside VMware Workstation and I'm having a bit of an issue with the installation of VMware Tools.

It's looking for "3.3.8-server-2.mga2 kernel headers".

I've been trying to look for it here: /lib/modules/3.3.8-server-2.mga2

However, I have been unable to locate the correct folder within that which contains the kernel headers. Does anyone know what is the correct path to these?

Thank you.

Looks like I fixed it. I had to go to the Software Management, search for "kernel", and install "kernel-server-devel-3.3.8-2.mga2".

After that, restart VMware Tools installation and it finally installed. Also, before all of this, I had to install gcc from Software Management because that was not pre-installed either.
