[SOLVED] Speeding up KDE

Please share ways to speed up KDE
that it take a few minutes to boot up is fine
reducing the sluggishness that when switching tasks would be nice
there is probably a list of things to disable...
turning off desktop effects helped some

You probably oversaw viewtopic.php?f=41&t=3536
Apart from that, KDE does not take a few minutes to start in general, sounds like an really old computer
or some other problems. Here it takes 15 seconds to load to a fully ready desktop ...

Dok You mean
overlooked
oversaw is what a supervisor does

starting a new session will boot up in around a minute
this pc is a 2.2ghz single core
my dual core 2.4ghz notebook was about the same, though noticably quicker switching between tasks...
