Don't see any of the software I use ???

I just installed Mageia and I'm impressed at how easy it was to get it up and running. Now, I'm trying to install software. When I search in the installer, almost none of the software I normally use shows up. For example, vim, gcc, g++, wxwidgets. That's hard to believe. I have to have missed something. How do I get access to software that's not installed by default?
Thanks.

You need to add the online repositories,
http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/Docs/Basic_ ... ne_sources(this applies in Mageia as it's using the same drak tools, the page will be imported to the Mageia wiki soon).

If you change "Packages with GUI" to "ALL" they will show up.

(Ouch, I forgot that one, I guess I am out of practice :/). However he still should add the online repos.

Of course but you already had that one covered.

Thanks so much for the help. The suggestions solved my problem. I'm not new to Linux, but I am new to both Mageia and KDE, so everything is in "odd" places. So far, I'm very impressed with Mageia. I use three machines regularly and it's the only version of Linux to work out-of-the-box on all three. Even Mandriva won't load on one of my machines...but Mageia does!
