always have to run control centre twice to get it to run

I have no idea how to find what the problem is as there is no error code, basically I run control centre once and it asks me to enter the password then it disappears without calling the program

I click it the second time and enter my password and it runs the second time

it happens every-time and has done it a while, i remeber i had the same problem with control centre mandriva ie: I have to open it twice to get it to run

how would I go about this problem

What happens if you run it from a terminal?
Code: Select all
mcc

Those errors tell us nothing as they've been around since the Mandrake days.
The question is does it run every time from the command line and if so what is different?

Nope when I run it from commandline it spits out that error then has the mageia control centre logo then it disappears then nothing, the command line still has the box and the end of the terminal line like its loaded the program and waiting for the program to end so it can return to a command line,

from there i close down the terminal window, reopen another terminal window and type mcc again it loads up this time and the errors are the same as the ones I posted above

Like this?
If so pressing Enter will bring back the prompt.
Of course this doesn't tell us why it fails the first time and successes the second time. :?

The origanal problem was not about the error messages reported but about having to launch MCC twice to get it to run.
