[SOLVED] Konqueror and the latest updates

Postby rodgoslin » Sep 5th, '12, 21:51

Has anyone, like me, found that the latest updates, of Sept 5th, appears to have broken Konqueror? At least from the Application Launcher Menu's. It seems to load fine from the command line. From it's icon in the ALM's a whole slew of error messages comes up instancing KDE libraries.

Ok, problem solved. A re-boot seems to have restored the system to normality. Mind, it's not the sort of thing that I can recollect having met before. Updates don't normally require a reboot to restore the machine to a proper working order.

You are aware that after a bigger upgrade (like the update of whole KDE that just happened) you should at least log out from the desktop and back in again, to avoid such issues? The same as with most updates of running applications.
