Hello everyone.
I have a Lenovo V570 notebook and I just tryed to install Mageia 2 x64 on it.
The installation process went good except the fact that Mageia 2 won't boot from my HDD.

I am a new linux user so I don't know very much about linux.

Before Mageia 2 I had Windows 7 installed on my notebook, I formatted the partition where it was installed and tried to install Mageia 2.

Don't know what to do next to make mageia to boot from HDD.

any suggestions?

can you better describe what you see (boot screens or nothing at all)?
have you tried to press ESC during the boot?
pressing CTRL-ALT-F1 or CTRL-ALT-F2 changes somethings?

I got this error

Code: Select all
Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 083)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

This Product is covered by one or more of the following patents:

but if I put the dvd in to optical device I can select the boot from hard drive option and then the os will start.

the thing is that my partitions where MBR and after I installed mageia first time they became GPR, and now I don't want to format my hard drive because I have a lot of data in other partitions and at this moment I don't have where to backup them.

i will read again the thread to redirected me at and I will try to understand what I have to do.
The other thing is that now I can't neither install windows because my partitions are gpr.
