Hi,
I would like to remove the Trash from the Workspace/Desktop and although I have looked I cann see how it is done.
Is this possible to remove it and if so how would I achieve it?

Delete it from the folder Desktop in your home directory.

You will still be able to send files to Trash, but without the trash icon emptying the trash folder will have to be done by hand.
You will find the Trash folder in ~/.local/share
