Is it possible = elsewhere in the software, to increase the font size larger - 10 or 12; instead of the present 4 or 5; for aged users like me (= 76) whose eyesight is failing.

Which desktop environment are you using, KDE, GNOME or something different?
For KDE you can adjust it via systemsettings -> Apllication Appearance -> Fonts
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!
