Mageia 2 DVD use a linux-libre?

The DVD edition contains only free software. Non free packages are available from an online repository if required.
The kernel is fully free, but non free modules may be installed . Mageia also supplies a vanilla 'linus' kernel.

I'm not a technical expert, but I believe that Mageia's kernels are not what the FSF calls Linux-libre.

Well, the kernel itself doesn't contain binary blobs, those were split out to the kernel-firmware packages. So you can easily remove them if you really want.
