[SOLVED] Compiling VMware Workstation 8.0.4 failed

This morning the VMware Workstation informed me that there was a new version, 8.0.4.
I have runned 8.0.3 since Mageia 2 where available with no problem.
During the compilation I get the following messages:
First I will be told that i have to compile severel modules.

I choose Install.
There will be a warningmark at Virtual Network Device. The other steps will be marked OK.
Then I am told that there has been an error and have to look in a logfile which don't tell me anything.

I wonder why a this will happen.

The question:
Are there anyone who have had the same problem?

Hi janpihlgren, once again we meet.
And once again on the topic vmware.

I can tell you, i had the same issues, updating to a newer version of VMWarePlayer.
And again the solution given in the following link suited my, actually VMWarePlayers', needs.

Hoping it brings you somewhere as well, again i point you at this thread:

@isadora
:D THANKS!!! :D
My mind is very, very, very short.
I did the same procedure change to 8.0.4 and 4.0.4
But I also have to remove the file /usr/lib/vmware/modules/source/.patches, a zerosize file.
Then I ran as last time and everything works. :D
