If I minimize a window ( Firefox-Evolution or any) it just disappears and I have to reload it.

You may be using the Icon Only task manager.

That minimizes a program to the original icon and not a taskbar button like Windows.

You can change this by removing icon only task manager and adding a Regular task manager but right clicking>add wigets, search for task and there should be two.
