[SOLVED] How to turn off sources list

I read this review that came out recently:
http://www.linuxuser.co.uk/reviews/mage ... ure-magic/

it gave Mageia 2 rave reviews which it deserves, but he mentioned one thing...

"...Unfortunately, it’s still hampered by a small issue that has affected Mageia and Mandriva for a while now – it sometimes searches for the install disc, which you’ve probably already removed. If this can’t be found, it won’t switch to checking on an online repository for the same package. This is fairly easily fixed by turning it off in the sources list"

I've been looking for it but I can't find where to turn off the sources list so it doesn't look for the CD, or has this already been corrected?

Thanks.

Well, that's probably the first step 95% of all users do after initial installation. MCC -> Software Management -> Configure media sources for install and update
or via drakrpm-edit-media and remove the first entry.

Also this one may sound simple, but it's a bit harder to fix or get right. Most users don't want to have the disc in the drive, but install packages directly from a mirror
as the install disc carries only a small subset of all packages. But some users are maybe not on broadband or have data volume limits for their internet connection,
so they want to install as much as possible from the install disc later on. Also local repositories have a bigger priority than remote repositories, which is sane.
But this means after installation when you've already added all repos, it will still want to use the install disc repo. You just can't please everyone with a default setup.
But i think it's a lot better than f.ex. in RHEL, where the install disc is not added as repo during installation, and you have to manually create the repo, which is not as easy as on Mageia/Mandriva...

Only sane thing would be a question "Do you want to disable the installation disc repo" after installation ...

so how do you disable the installation disc repo after installation? When I go to media sources I see nothing about the install disc? only the repos that are checked off.
