Hi, i have this webcam, and it shows in my control center under webcams -> webcam nx pro. But when i tried to use it on skype today it wasn't working. I tried to check it with kamoso too, but all i get is a black screen. I am not sure what could be wrong since the camera is recognised in MCC.

Try to type this in a console window (if you have mplayer installed). This usually works, even if Skype does not.

mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:device=/dev/video0:width=640:height=480:outfmt=rgb24:noaudio:fps=25

I tried what you said and it worked, and in kamoso the image did appear, however not in skype. But i did find a driver from the creative website, which was for mandriva 2008. I installed that and it worked fine after i restarted skype (i got an error about key mismatch or something during install, but i guess that's cause the distros are different).
