Blank text in apps after Mageia 1 to Mageia 2 upgrade

Hi,
I just upgraded from Mageia 1 to Mageia 2 and have a bizarre problem I haven't seen before. I first noticed it in Claws mail, where a lot of messages subject lines are now blank (or invisible). It happen in other apps, including Firefox and the Mageia mirror selection screen. In some cases, like in Firefox, if I highlight a blank area, the text will appear. I thought it might be a font issue, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

Can you please post a screenshot? In Mageia 1, did you maybe adjust color selection, or apply a custom theme or something like that?
Also, does it affect maybe only GTK/GNOME programs? As Firefox, the Mageia control center and i think also Claws are programs using the GTK toolkit and so GTK themes ...
And please also try again with a freshly created user if the problem persists there.

I think you may be right about GTK. It does affect Firefox, but not Konqueror. I attached two screenshots. One of the Install & Remove Software dialog and one of this thread. I'll check my wifes machine for GTK settings / themes since she is still on Mageia 1.
Thanks,
Chris.

It is indeed that Cauldron bug. When I was looking for possible missing GTK modules, I noticed a lot of mga3 apps, which led me to this other thread:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2676I had a similar situation where my command line upgrade failed and then I installed from DVD. When I checked my version, it says Cauldron, not Mageia 2 like I wanted. I guess I'll do a fresh install from scratch now.
