Urpmi trouble

Hi, I am giving Mageia 2 beta 2 a try after a long time in the openSUSE world, so sorry for being slow, I have little (no) experience with Mageai or Mandriva.
So I installed it on my laptop the other day, and I can't know how to install updates and online repositories. I'd like to install some fairly standard software (thunderbird, banshee, smplayer, etc.) but it is a little hard for me due to my lack of experience.
1) how do I get my online repos?
2) what is the best source for more questions?
Thanks.

Very welcome to the Mageia-forum ethancello!!!!!
Interesting reading concerning your questions can be found in a contribution by one of our members macxi:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=528&p=3498#p3498Information about and around Mageia can be found i9n many places.
But the forum can be a good starting-point. See for example the upper-part of this site, it directs one to many answers.

And then, please use meaningful titles. This gives better chances of getting the proper answer.
And for people who run into same issues in the future, this can result into better search-results.
Thanks in advance!!!

When you start the Mageia Control Center for the first time, it will prompt you to add repositories using the mirrorlist when you attempt to add your first media source. See the screenshots (below).
EDIT: Much to my surprise, the screenshots (below) appear in reverse-chronological order. i.e., Start with the image on the bottom.

One command or one sentence would also be enough to describe the process, IMHO ...
