In thunderbird, when i recieve a mail, i have a notification in bottom right in my screen, but, not the icon of envelope Image next to the clock.

In fact, if I'm not near the computer when receiving the email, I do not see it. Also, I do not mean the arrival of mail because the sound does not work (file format .wav, .mp3 ot .ogg) and in KDE there is no section for notifications of Thunderbird (as Konversation or Ktorrent or Konversation or "Espace de Travail KDE" for exemple).

Are you the same problem ?

Bye !

Sorry for bad english, i'm french !

There is no such icon in the systray, and you also can't change the sound currently, please see the relevant bug report: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1631
For the icon, if i remember right that was provided by moztraybiff: http://moztraybiff.mozdev.org/
From looking at the project page:
Note: This release has the unfortunate side-effect of disabling the new Thunderbird 2.0 feature of popping up an alert box for incoming mail. Currently it's impossible to have both my extension and this feature working together. In future versions, this is fixed. In this version, you can always restore the alert box feature by disabling or uninstalling this extension.

There has not been a new version for Thunderbird 3.x or higher ...
