Please open up a terminal, and as root run the following command before you plugin some usb device:
Code: Select all
tailf /var/log/messages 2>&1 | tee test.log

then wait some seconds, and plugin a usb device and post here the file test.log.

This is output from either Mdv 2011 or Mageia Cauldron with systemd enabled.
If Cauldron, why didn't you install him Mageia 1?

will thanks Mr.Doctor5000

but if he install mageia 1 - will this problem vanish

ah....... i forgot to say that he solved it at ubuntu distro by useing this way
Code: Select all
cd /etc/default/

sudo gedit grub

then add

Code: Select all
pci=nocrs

in this line

Code: Select all
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX

an make it like this

Code: Select all
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="pci=nocrs"

then update the grub

Code: Select all
sudo update-grub

================================

and about the first problem that i mentioned it in the first post .......is there any way to solving it

First try again with a stable version, then we'll see further ...
Actually you'd only need to configure the x-server to use a working driver and check that
it will load automatically at startup, that's all.

ah ...... Mr.Doctor5000

as we are waiting for my friend to install mageia 1

===================

then ..... how about my second friend

who has "the distro cant go further than the command line"

how to deal with his problem

Please, open a seperate thread for that problem. By now you should already know the golden rule: One problem per thread.
Also see my last answer for that problem.

Results for what command? What does this have to do with the x-server not starting or the usb ports not working?

You're simply missing the firmware for the opensource driver for your broadcom wireless device, try installing the b43-openfwwf package which contains said firmware.

this command

Code: Select all
tailf /var/log/messages 2>&1 | tee test.log

so that mean those ATI-USB-ports are working without problem in mageia 1

i will leave this for another subject as you said

So please almusalimalmusalimah, please use quotations next time.
That way it is easier for people to recognize, thanks in advance.

Well, the log you posted has no mention of anything related to usb. And it will only
provide good output if you do as i said, launch that command, wait a few seconds,
and plugin any usb device, wait again a few seconds. All added output should be from
the usb device. Your logs shows nothing about usb, did you plugin some usb device at all?

Please try to install the broadcom proprietary driver : dkms-broadcom-wl from the nonfree sources.
