Hi lmh1
Norwegian by the screenshots. I am Swedish. So if you want we can interact in native tongue.

Tell us what you are trying to do.
I guess you are running Mageia 8 and wants to update to Mageia 9 ?
Are you following along https://wiki.mai
EDIT: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_9_Rel ... m_Mageia_8 (I seem to have stumbled when pasting, sorry) /EDIT
guess maybe you have problems with Mageia 8 repos?
First update Mageia 8 fully, then change repos to Mageia 9, and let the updater work.

For the urpmi.addmedia for command, you can use
For Mageia 8 your best mirror probably is https://mirror.accum.se/mirror/mageia/distrib/8/x86_64/
And for Mageia 9 change that "8" to a "9".

What steps have you done, and what problems have occurred?

Form your very first sentence, do you suspect you maybe have hard disc (or filesystem) problem in the computer?

When did you get that screen in your second picture?

When i install mageia 9. Its failed.

Tryed to installed steam need 32 bits literary and testing active. Did not sure hdd is poor but after i installed everything in repo only get mouse pointer and wallpaper to works none desktop.

F1 or nothing works can not go to console.
Think fedora or Ubuntu or debian have less issue

Please be more clear.
Did the installation process fail?
Or did installation seem to complete, but when installed it never booted to desktop?

Did you install updates during the install?
Or at end of install?
Or no updates yet?

Tryed to installed steam need 32 bits literary and testing active.
Now I feel confused. Did the system first manage to boot to desktop and work OK, and then you installed steam and it stopped working?

Did not sure hdd is poor but after i installed everything in repo only get mouse pointer and wallpaper to works none desktop.
So you see a wallpaper. Did you get a login prompt?

F1 or nothing works can not go to console.
Do Ctrl-Alt+F4 get you a full screen text login?

In the grub menu, can you select the line starting with "Advanced", then a line that ends in "(recovery mode)"
(You may have more than one alternative if you installed an updated kernel)
It should then boot to command line, as root.

Think fedora or Ubuntu or debian have less issue
Lets help together so also Mageia works on your system, and that may also help others :)

BTW according to screenshot, the Debian install use llvm pipe. As you seem to be into gaming, do you have a dedicated GPU in the system?

Please you must answer questions, not just ask.

What is the state of the system now?
- Is it a fully updated Mageia 8?
- Have you started some update work, and if so what, and what was the responses?

What procedure in this link did you follow, and how long?

urpmi --auto-update --auto --force

Its useless other than command.

Yes but did not know its testing repo or some issue.

From one of the previous screenshots, curl error 6 means it cannot resolve hostnames (and/or your network connection is not working at all).

I use other computer supermicro so can be its unsupported or not set up.

Debian works without any issue.

But Mageia 8 did work before the upgrade attempt?

Have you tried if Mageia 9 Live on a USB stick boots and works?

There seem several user errors involved.

You simply don‘t download and install packages from random sources like rpmfind for other distributions.
You do install Firefox from the official Mageia repos via MCC or urpmi.

For disk partioning you should read the docs. It is documented:
https://doc.mageia.org/installer/9/en/c ... oning.html

The precise installations steps for Heroic Games Launcher are also documented:
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Ways_to_inst ... e_Launcher

For the missing sensors, you seem not to have done a proper sensor search/setup.

It is easy to say it is a bug when someone does not read the dicumentation.

its most be a bug or poor developed software.

Maybe i expect to much but mageia or Openmandriva have more bug than fedora\ubuntu.
its many way to fix some things, but i think its very old.
But nice to see something have get better.

Hi there, it would be helpful if you wouldn't jump from issue to issue. Golden rule in the forums is only one problem per thread.

Also instead of installing RPM packages from arbitrary sources which were not built for Mageia and complaining to us, you could also install via flatpak: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Ways_to_inst ... ms#Flatpak

In your screenshot it just tells you "file or directory not found" so either you didn't download the RPM or ran that command from the wrong directory.

But mageia 9 or openmandriva is only for testing:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34921

Have you idea how to fix: x11-server xwayland version 22.1.9 (Remove and install) add terminal install after go back to recovery?
Did you have reson why wine\firefox\kernel is so outdated here?

Ubuntu or fedora its better. But its not much diference.
Its more testing om old mandrake core its is was it is only added more funtions.

Remember old day with powerpack but did not find better distribution games works nice, better than expected. but config its poor did not know reason to use mandriva or mandrake old funktion only is happed its poor set up or developed.
see on compix installer works but not testing: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/User:Codegaz ... piz_fusion
https://doc.mageia.org/mcc/4/en/content/drak3d.html
its most be out of date or poor software.

You're still jumping from topic to topic. If you want answers, then please one issue per thread.
