installer keeps adding /var/tmp

Postby laidlaws » Feb 20th, '25, 01:04

Whenever I try to reinstall Mageia 9, during the choice of partitions, the installer finds that /mnt/var/tmp already exists. I have tried:-

(a) deleting the /tmp file at the above address;
(b) having no separate /tmp folder, and letting the one in /var be the sole one.

Neither one works. I have a different issue as well, so it has to be Asimov's intelligent AI.

[SOLVED] Re: installer keeps adding /var/tmp

I had a row of rather tiny partitions for each folder, and an empty one the same size as my home directory. I deleted them all and let the installer create them. The problem disappeared.
