Is there any particular reason why the single click option for the mouse, in Mageia 9 has been discontinued? I've never seen the sense in double clicking and have always opted for a single click to activate, going back to the year dot.

Why did you mark this closed ?

You can still do this in plasma, systemsettings5 > workspace behaviour > change “clicking files and folders” to “opens them".

I was using the computer, earlier and noted that double clicks on the mouse were required to initiate action. Thinking that the action had reverted to the default value. It was then that i found that the usual location for changing was not where I expected it to be, in sytem settings. It was not particularly important, only slightly annoying, so I left it. However, an hour or so later later, single clicking returned. There had been no changes made to account for it. I just considered it one of the illogical occurances which seemed to happen on computer systems. I've long ago given up any notions that computers operate on logical grounds. There seemed no logical grounds for keeping the thread open, so declared it closed. Ten years working in IT does somewhat reinforce my thinking.
