You can perfectly use dd directly from Windows XP or Windows 7 to write the ISO directly to an usb driver,
no need to install partition magic, partition the drive and boot partition magic just to use dd ;)

Can you share how?

http://www.chrysocome.net/dd
that doesnt work.

Its the only way to use dd on windows to my knowledge and Mandriva-seed doesnt support Windows 7

If there is a way its a carefully guarded secret. I have googled the heck out of this with limited luck

Thanks for confirming that works for other future users but I think I am going to stick with booting into the Linux version. I tried it in DD for windows and it wouldnt boot I did it in DD for Linux and it was working 5 minutes later. Maybe its putting the iso in the same directory as DD? Idk but for other users do what is easiest for you. Btw is there any plans to support unetbootin or lili in the future? What is the purpose for the way they handle the "hybrid isos"? Just wondering.
