Can someone tell me how to take a screenshot in mageia mate (roughly the process).

Hi there, usually the printscreen key should be the shortcut for screenshots.
The shortcut runs the command mate-screenshot which is contained in the package also called mate-screenshot
You can check if you have that installed, this is not installed via the task-mate-minimal meta package.

Which issue in particular ?
printscreen key does not open a screenshot tool, mate-screenshot is not installed or you didn't know how to create a screenshot ?
