[SOLVED] Truecrypt

Postby dyfi » Dec 4th, '11, 16:44

Hi,
Have installed Truecrypt from MIB repo, sudo from Mageia repo and gmine-utils.
Unable to mount the created truecrypt volume because the /etc/sudoers file needs editing. Visudo command not recognized and gedit as root fails to open sudoers. A package is needed that will open file type MATLAB script/function, MIME type: text/x-matlab.

Anyone able to help please?

Dyfi.

You need to install sudo before you can use visudo (as root).

And what about that matlab thing? Could you please describe that a little bit more?
If this is not related to truecrypt, please open up another thread for this. Golden rule: one problem per thread.

Re: Truecrypt - SOLVED

Thanks for the advice. Have managed to install Trucecrypt and is working correctly. Installed sudo and used Visudo to edit sudoers. The matlab thing was a message shown when I tried as root to gedit /etc/sudoers. Obviously the correct method is to use Visudo!

Once again thanks.
