Problem Core Release (installer)

Hallo, I am new with Mageia 9, have installed for first time and find it super. I am having a problem with installation of software. Many software, not all, ask to provide the Core Release (installer). I tried to update it in the Media room of the Mageia Welcome, but received alwais the message "impossible to update the font, it will be disabled". I chosed various mirror but the result has been always the same.

The Core Release (installer) is the repo from the installation medium, to allow installation of some software even without network connection.
You should disable/remove that.

Yes, first step is to set the repositories (a.k.a medias) where to download from, as doktor5000 pointed to.

We have lots of software packaged, and such are prefferred. If you need to use other sources for what you need, see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Ways_to_install_programs
