What do you need that library for? It doesn't seem to be in the repos.

Code: Select all
[germ@localhost ~]$ rpm -q --whatprovides libappindicator
no package provides libappindicator
[germ@localhost ~]$ rpm -q --whatprovides lib64appindicator
no package provides lib64appindicator

For one, rpm only searches in installed packages, not in repositories. urpmf -f --name would be the way to go for that.

Although OP does not mention what he actually needs that library for in particular, as dependency for what software?

Hi.

I was trying install a very good modern mail client named Mailspring, and that libappindicator looks to be a dependence. But i just discover that this mail client is available as flatpak. So, my problem is solved. I'm gonna add a -Solved- to the topic, if no one have objections.

Thanks, very much, for the help.

Also note that our 64 -bit packages have "64" after "lib"

Try "urpmf -f --name appindicator" to get extended matches.
Or even anything containing "indicator" : "urpmf -f --name indicator"
