Older Release Repos - SOLVED

Postby hduff » Nov 27th, '23, 01:07

I notice that the repos for older versions (Mageia7 and prior) have been removed from the mirrors and I understand why this might be, but have they been preserved anywhere?

You may want to have a look here => http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/p ... e/distrib/.

Note that these repos are not generally available via the MCC => Configure media sources for install and update .

Should you wish to utilise them, you would have to manually configure a custom medium.
Note #2. It is not recommended , should you install these OOS systems, to connect them to the internet.
They should be used as a demonstration, network isolated, system only.

They are not empty! It is the Archive and each respective release directory has all packages in the usual distribution structure.

Apparently the repo I suggested is in fact empty of the older releases...

Directories older than MGA8 have no packages in them.

Hi Karel :)

Not really, no. OP is looking for the RPM packages for older releases, which are only available via a few archive mirrors.
The downloads page only has the ISO images for older releases.

Actually, that is helpful as well. Thank you!
