Problem with icons. Mageia-9
Icons disappear in drakconf after "Activate transparency". Nvidia Geforce745series graphics card driver. When you turn off the transparency of the icons, they are visible.

Where do you "activate transparency" ? Also, what desktop environment do you use?

The integrated desktop effects from plasma include transparency - what do you want to achieve with that ?
systemsettings > workspace behaviour > desktop effects > enable translucency

1. When transparency is turned off, moving the mouse over desktop icons generates noise (black drops).
2. When enabled, no glitches and a beautiful looking toolbar and start menu. Disadvantage, as I wrote earlier, icons in the control panel disappear.
The question is what to do to make points 1 and 2 work properly.

There is no known fix yet for the invisible icons.
On different systems different workarounds works.
I see it only occasionally, and then it works after i close Firefox and Thunderbird.
Another user changed graphics driver.
I use Plasma, and have never tried disabling translucency.

I cannot reproduce, also using NVIDIA GeForce 745 series proprietary driver. I have transparency turned on (which is the default) and no issues with desktop icons on mouseover, or icons in MCC.

The black drop problem was solved by unchecking Rendering Acceleration.
When I turn on Transparency, my desktop icons look and work properly. No icons in "drakconf".
I use the NVIDIA GeForce 745 series driver & GTX-1660Ti

30-11-2023 Today's "535.129.03-1.mga9.nonfree" driver update resolved the issues.
