Vivaldi browser updates via DNF ?

Hello experts,

I found no way to add vivaldi's repo in Mageia Control Center - I get the message 'no metadata found' and installed rpm vivaldi package that I have downloaded from vivaldi site.
The problem is, that I can ony update vivaldi it with DNF. (I think it because the installation had put the repofiles in /etc/yum.repos.d)
Ist it dangerous for stability if I update only packages for vivaldi through DNF and the rest of the packages via standard way "Mageia Control Center" ?
Or maybe it is better to switch to DNF completly? (But I'have read in Documentation, that a switch to DNF must be done after Install, bu I am using Mageia for 2 years and recently upgraded to Mageia 9)

Yours,
Greg

Which DE do you use? I use Plasma Discover to install Vivaldi. It adds the repo and updates Vivaldi.

How exactly is that performed?
I type "Vivaldi" in Discover, it do not find anything. How do I make it find the repo on internet?

Apart from that, Discover search for packages using same Mageia repos as DNF, if DNF is configured normally.

I have Plasma too, but I never used Discover. I started it now and saw that the Repos that are checked are the DNF-Repos.
(vivaldi is checked and I had installed it with DNF). I think if you install software with Discover DNF will be used ( am I wrong?).

Download the Vivaldi rpm from the Vivaldi website. Then open it with Discover. Discover will then install it and add the repo to Discover.

I have never used DNF...
