Hi
System upgraded to Mageia 9 as follows:
Dual boot system: Windows 10 and Mageia 9 Plasma- working OK
Dual screen - Working OK.

Minor problem:
I enter password to login, after which an unfamiliar splash screen is displayed. I have to enter my password again in order to actually login to the working environment.

I wish I could avoid the second password request.
Please advise

Hi there, you don't really mention what login manager and desktop environment you use.
Also it would be helpful to take a screenshot (maybe with your phone) of the two password prompts, otherwise it's hard to tell what you're seeing.

The second one I'm not sure, could be some strange application that you installed at some point which runs via autostart.
Could also be some keyring. But you should probably know that, based on the domain you should probably remember where you configured that ?

The second login screen, is that running in fullscreen, can you change to the desktop with Alt+Tab or can you click the window title bar or such?
Then you could run xdpyinfo and click on that window to see more information what it is.

Alt+Tab does not yield any output.
But in between the 2 password request I get the display as attached.
Does it help?
