xfce classic menu disable 'More' option

Postby cefer » Sep 26th, '23, 15:14

Hello.
Using xfce I prefer the classic menu over the whisker menu.
In mageia, in each option (Office, Utility and so) there are only a few applications and also a submenu called More that contains the rest of applications into that category.
I have not seen this submenu More in other Linux distributions
How do I disable it?

Hi there, that's not easily possible. You'd have to create your own XDG menu structure or copy the default and adapt it to your needs.
Have a look at /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu and https://specifications.freedesktop.org/ ... atest.html

The "More" submenu is intended to contain applications which are not "native" to that desktop. E.g. a GTK application when running a Qt-based desktop.
