Big bad USB stick

Hi,
I had a usb stick that was causing the gnome desktop to freeze. I tried it on windows xp and something was happing.
Here some of the messages from dmesg:

Strange it worked ok on puppylinux.
I do not have the stick now.

The above messages seems more like from your optical drive ;)

It does look like it comes from the optical drive.:(
