Hot dog! Complete success!

Just a quick mention that I have managed to get a complete install of Mageia 9 rc1 done on my spare laptop. I uninstalled the apps I didn't want/need and then installed the apps I wanted. I managed to find everything I normally use except for Mirage. I did, however, find gThumb, which I have used in the past, so I really found everything I wanted. Then, I tweaked the Appearance, Window Manager, and wallaper and have things the way I like them. The only tweak I couldn't apply was an icon theme I like, but I found something else that works just fine for me. I finished up by taking a system snapshot with Timeshift, which I installed, and now I'm just getting familiar with the new install.

On a real positive note, I have everything installed and tweaked the way I want and I'm using just under 200MB less memory to present the desktop. I consider that a success.

Thanks to you guys that gave me some tips and advice on the first thread I posted on here. With your help I now have a fresh install of 9 rc1 on the first of 4 laptops. Kudos to you all!

As for image viewers and editors we have some.
This search https://alternativeto.net/software/mira ... form=linux give photoqt as top suggestion, which we have.
For quick browsing, cropping, etc i like gwenview.
My wife use gimp, which can do a lot
For professional use we have darktable and rawtherapee
And a lot more we have packaged... in drakrpm, search in description (click magnifier glass to select) for "photo".
