[SOLVED] Nepomuk popup

Postby borsa » Nov 28th, '11, 23:50

I have disabled Nepomuk. Now every time I start my computer I get a popup telling me that "Nepomuk Indexing Agents Have Been Disabled". I did that my self so I know that. Do not need a popup telling me.
I know I seen something about how to disable it, but can,t find it.
Any help?

This is a guess, I am no heavy kde user.
System Settings > Applications and system Notifications > Event Source > Desktop search

then disable/enable

No, that didn't help.
I've been locking at KDE-forum. Look like we have to live with this till KDE4.8.

I've also disabled Nepomuk, and i have no such popups.
You could try to remove:
Code: Select all
~/.kde4/share/config/nepomuk*

and
Code: Select all
~/.kde4/share/apps/nepomuk/

and then logout and back in, maybe you need to re-disable nepomuk afterwards.

EDIT: If i'm correct, you might get that popup when using some application which needs
Akonadi, so f.ex. any kdepim application like kmail or korganizer or kadressbook. Is that the case?
Because you need Nepomuk in that case.
